- Cook sugar, milk, corn syrup, and salty in heavy saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until sugar dissolves, cook to soft ball (238 degree F).
- Remove from heat and add butter, (DO NOT STIR).
- Let candy cool to room temperature.
- Add vanilla and beat until candy thickens,add chopped walnuts
- Pour onto a buttered platter. let the mixture set aside,
- Cut into desirable shapes and sizes
- Serve immediately.
