  • Drinking tap water | 4.00 tbsp
  • Milk reduced fat protein fortified, with vitamin A and D | 1.00 cup
  • Whole grain wheat flour | 12.00 oz
  • Salt | 2.00 tsp
  • Cream of tartar | 2.00 tsp
  • Baking soda | 1.00 tsp
  • Self-rising enriched wheat flour | 1.00 cup

  1. Heat the oven to 425°F. Take a bowl and sift soda, plain flour, salt and cream of tartar then mix it. Add whole meal flour, milk and water in it, mix to make soft dough.
  2. Put dough on a lightly floured surface, then knead for a few minutes and shape it into a thick large circle.
  3. Take a baking tray, slightly flour it and put the dough on it. Mark a deep cross on top of loaf and dust flour on it. Place in oven and bake it for 25 to 30 minutes. Put on a wire rack and let it cool before serving.
